When it rains in Kumta it rains heavens . I was in Kumta during the first weekend of June to attend a wedding. Heavy non stop rains in the previous week of my visit left whole Kumta city soaked in water .
Great start
City cleaned up and small lakes, streams were full of life . The sky was half messed up with Monsoon clouds and white puffy clouds. I decided to utilize a little time I had before the wedding day by photographing the atmosphere and if possible catch some rain or may be some clouds and some beach . Me and my wife on my ( technically not mine of course , my uncle’s I always use in Kumta ) awesome TVS wego scooter started our short trip in the afternoon. It was sunny bright light over the hills and sky was magnificent . As we were passing on the hills I saw few kids swimming in a little lake that just got filled up . I had to stop my bike and ran near the lake. The lake was really muddy but that didn’t stop the kids from having fun. They went on and I went on clicking which further encouraged them to show a little more of their ability . The gorgeous monsoon clouds , western ghats acting as backdrop and 3 o clock afternoon light made a dream like situation that I many time wished for. Not only catching the action I also captured some portraits of the swimming kids. So here are few images I liked a lot.
