She sells camphor at the Kengal temple in Ramnagar during weekends along with her brothers and cousins to the visiting devotees. The gang was easily attracted to the big black thing in my camera and they knew the tricks and techniques of the trade. I slowly started talking to them and soon I found Shruthi is one of the cutest and sweetest kid I met!
I asked her ” what you want to become when you grow? ”
She said ” Lawyer” !
” you must be studying now if you want to become a lawyer ! why are you selling camphor ?”
” I need lot of money for learning , that is why I am selling”
” how much money you make? ” I asked
” I have to sell 200 rupees worth camphor then only I can study lawyer”
” who told you like that ?”
“my mother” she got busy with a customer. The customer started bargaining the 5 rupee packet of camphor . That eight year old kid did not give up and managed to sell for 5 rupees with her energetic talks. I could not resist myself going up to her mother and appreciate her lovely daughter .
