It started pouring rains and you imagine what might happen in Kumbhmela ! I had to run to some vacant tent. Before rains stopped the tent broke due to huge settling of rain water on the tent. I was lucky to escape that thanks to a guy who pulled me off! I came out and I met a wonderful Spanish documentary photographer Eva Parey and tried to talk on behalf of her with few lady Sadhu’s. It was interesting conversation to learn how they live. I also understood there are many men also in that gang who follow the lady sadhu.
Rains started again heavily and this time we both took shelter in the tents again. I had some nicest conversation with Eva . There few other people at the tent and the light was really nice .I shot few portraits while talking to them .
This guy Bholaram from Mathura who is the follower of this Matha and he never misses any Kumbhmela . He said she and her team available only in Kumbh’s and other time they do not show themselves to anyone. So he came all the way from Mathura with his family to offer his seva ( service ) to her.
Another guy was a young Sadhu who looked very mysterious! when I asked his name he was not interested. Then I started bugging few questions and he told few things about him before going in to silence. He was fedup with his normal life and decided to become a sadhu leaving out everything behind. Now he searches for a guru and keeps changing tents . Nobody is able to guide him properly is what he felt!
