One of the intriguing feature of Kumbhmela was how the city Allahabad lit by the lights in nights. Even in 3 am the activities looked like it was 8 pm in night . Pilgrims can have Chai, Puri subji which is very helpful to those who reached the city in those hours. Nothing was pricey , Rikshawalas never charged ‘double’ which is not a regular case for other cities in India . But that also tells the competition or the amount of money they get.Even the houses never turned off their outside lights which added to the scene too. People were roaming, sleeping, drinking Chais everywhere . SOme are really busy too with their work during all the nights. Fire was used to relieve from the morning cold of Allahabad everywhere. People slept where ever they can find a warmer place. Not everything was beautiful. There were fights, thefts , missing child , missing elders, chaos and above all unattended dead bodies !!

Excellent shots. Liked the “outside parking lot” and “the people … pilgrims” pics the most. :-).
thanks Britul 🙂
