‘Kavya Kammata’ (ಕಾವ್ಯ ಕಮ್ಮಟ) organised by Kajana group ( ಕಾಜಾಣ ಬಳಗ), the three day camp for young poets at the birthplace of the great Kannada poet Kuvempu sounded very interesting to me and I decided to visit on the day I learned . When I was there at the camp going on in Kuppali, Shimogga district, it was very exciting to see many aspiring poets living together in the middle of nature of malnad. They were sharing, discussing, writing poems and getting suggestions and directions of the senior poets of Karnataka who talked in the camp. I attended couple of sessions on the second day and the third day and I could feel where exactly is Kannada poetry is heading which was my other intention of visit too. It was a lovely experience overall to meet some of the best in the current generation , some senior poets, writers whom I always admired and some interesting personalities who all became friends . Here are some photos I clicked on occasion .
