Pallakki Dance , where god’s idol is decorated with cloths and flowers carried on head , is seen almost all the small and big fairs around Bangalore , Mandya, Mysore, Chamarajnagar,Hasan,Tumkur . The pallakki weighs around 30-40 KG and the performer dances through out the procession . There are no rules for this dance but it is the power and the stamina of the performer which surprises. Few performers go on to show their additional skills like dancing on single leg, climbing on another performer’s back , carrying 2-3 people on his shoulder while dancing etc .

This performer was carrying one man and three children along with Pallakki
